2. What is a cookie?
Today, cookies are used by almost all websites and are in many cases necessary to provide a specific service on the website.
A cookie is a small text file which is stored on the user's IT equipment (such as a PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) allowing the website to recognise the equipment. Cookies may for instance be used for the purpose of preparing statistics of the users' website use and for optimisation of website contents. A cookie is a passive file and cannot collect information from the user's computer or spread computer virus or other harmful programs. Some cookies are placed by websites (third parties) other than the one stated in browser's address line (the URL). This means that cookies are stored from parties other than the one owning the website.
Some cookies are created temporarily and expire at the end of the user session when the browser is closed (session cookies). Other cookies are stored on the user's IT equipment for a longer period of time (persistent cookies). When the user revisits a website, new session cookies will be placed in the temporary memory, whereas a persistent cookies will be renewed.

asp.net/sitecore user session, session cookie: This cookie is used to collect information about your session. This is visitor information such as which pages you visited, and whether any goals or campaigns have been achieved. Expires when the browser is closed.
Functionality cookies, session cookies: These session cookies save information about your user selections, such as acceptance of cookies, language selection, etc. This also applies to the cookie consent that saves the user's cookie consent state for the current domain (whether or not you accepted the cookies on our site). Expires when the browser is closed.
Basket.id, persistent cookie: This cookie assigns an ID to your basket and stores the content. This information expires after 7 days.
Payment URL, session cookie: This cookie assigns your payment a URL at checkout, so we can distinguish your payment. Expires when the browser is closed.
In addition, the following third parties place cookies on mbyM-shop.com:
Session cookie (1 pc.), which aims to determine whether the user is new to the system. This is used for statistics. Expires when the browser is closed.
Persistent cookies (5 pcs.), with the purpose of collecting statistics about when the user has visited the website and information about which pages the user previously visited and move on to. These cookies are stored for a period of between 30 minutes and 2 years.
Persistent cookie (1 pc.). Gathers data about the user navigation and interaction on the website to personalize the shopping experience. Stored for 1 year.
Session cookie (1 pc.) placed at session start to tell if it is an ongoing session - so that the sleeknote is not displayed repeatedly for the same user. Expires when the browser is closed.
Persistent cookies (2 pcs.), with the purpose of collecting statistics about each sleeknote in regards to the user and whether the user has been subscribed to the newsletter via the sleeknote. These are stored for up to 1 year.
We use Google Analytics cookies to help us understand how customers visit our website, review or use our site, and highlight areas where we can improve areas like navigation, experiences with your shopping and marketing campaigns. The data stored by these cookies will never reveal personal details that can reveal your identity.
Persistent cookies (4 pcs.). Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users, register a unique ID used to track statistics about how the visitor uses the website and retrieve campaign information related to the user. These are stored for a period from 30 seconds to 26 months.

Session cookie (1 pc.). Collects data about whether cookies are activated in the user’s browser. Expires when the browser is closed.
4. How to delete/decline cookies?
How to delete or decline cookies depends on your browser. If you use a PC, you may delete cookies by using the shortcut keys [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[Delete].
